Democracy

Democratic participation is people being involved in the politics of a society. I define it as people going out and voting. Democratic participation is something we should do if we want things to improve. Some examples of people participating in a democracy would be to going out and voting, or lobbying, or striking. In a democracy everyone has a voice and we are given rights, and no one should have the right to tell us what to do/ not do, but unfortunately our democracy is flawed. Another example of people participating would be by the simple vote of stating your opinion and giving your intake on problems, creating awareness. That could do a lot. Some reasons why people would choose to participate in a democracy would be because they want to make change they see the problems with our society and want to do something to improve that problem. Another reason would be because they see the flaws in our society and want others to see it as well.
