The top 5 things i learned about corporations and corporate power are
1. They exploit workers, they make them work extreme hours per day with little pay.
2. They put the bottom line above all else, they basically risk people lives in order to earn more money.
3. I didn't know much about the concept of externalities, before now i know that the corporations make others pay for their wrong doing.
4. Another thing i learned about the corporation is that they say that they are being green, yet their actions prove otherwise.
5. The reason why some products are cheaper than others is because the corporation exploits the workers.
What i learned from my research was that the corporations provide products, to make life easier, and they have responsibility towards society. Also that the bottom line is very important, because they need money to pay their stockholders. One more thing was that people think corporations are great, but in reality they cause lots of harm.
Is there any way the government can reduce the power that corporations have.
-Would corporations change their tactics if people stopped buying from them? why? or why not?
-What can we as individuals do to change what the corporation does?
